- provide advice and guidance and support for health and social care commissioners and providers in the planning, development and monitoring of services; and

Summary: The National Dementia Strategy Implementation Plan describes the implementation task, arrangements for national and regional support, and the programmes that have been put in place to support delivery of Living well with dementia: a National Dementia Strategy. The Plan also shows how the performance assessment framework in health and social care will operate to prioritise dementia and provide the necessary focus for development. This refreshed plan replaces the one that was issued alongside the Strategy on 3 February 2009.
